Identifying various members of the Stracké families through four generations may be confusing, especially when the same first name is used repeatedly. I have drawn up a tree (heavily edited) which I hope helps to work out who’s who.


This tree is by no means complete as there were a number of other Strackés who were painters or sculptors, not forgetting the sculptor, Gottfried Kappen, great-grandson of Gottfried Stracké. The addition of Gottfried Kappen makes it five generations of Strackés who were artists.
