Interactive Tree

Posted on October 12, 2020October 12, 2020 by Peter Stone

I have revamped the interactive family tree and have added more Strackés, including a descendant, Gottfried Kappen (1906-1981). He is of interest because he was a sculptor who descended through the female side of the Stracké family and is, as far as I am aware, the only sculptor not to bear the Stracké name.

This link to Gottfried Kappen gives a good account of the man and his work and, further down the page, explains the line of descent. It’s in German but Google Translate, enabled in the browser, makes life very simple for those of us who don’t speak German.

You will find a link to the tree on the menu bar at the top of the page. I have split the links into two – one for Arendzen and the other for Stracké – to make it simpler and clearer to follow the lines of descent. However, both links refer back to the same tree so you can access info on Strackés when on the Arendzen tree and vice versa.
