Petrus Arendzen made several hundred etchings so I have been forced to make a selection. However, it is my intention eventually to catalogue and publish as much of his work as I can.
Most of the etchings on these pages are copies from Old Masters. However, for brevity, I have not indicated in the titles of the etchings that they are “after” the originals.

Portrait of Agatha Bas by Rembrandt
Rembrandt painted this portrait of Agatha Bas in 1641. The original is in the Royal Collection at Buckingham Palace in London having been acquired by King George IV.
Agatha Bas lived in the Sint Anthoniesbreestraat, Amsterdam, close to Rembrandt. There is a companion painting of her husband, Nicolaes van Bembeeck, housed in the Musée Royal des Beaux-Arts, Brussels,
